Ductwork evaluation and repair
Duct leakage in a Florida attic can waste 20 to 30 percent of the cooling you are paying for, and pulling superheated attic air into a leaky return is a real problem in this climate. We test and seal or replace the ductwork rather than connecting a new system to a failing distribution network.
High-efficiency and variable-speed options
Two-stage and variable-speed systems run longer at lower capacity, which is exactly what a humid climate calls for. How long does an installation take?
A straight system swap is typically one day. Jobs that include ductwork replacement, electrical upgrades, or relocating equipment run two to three days.
How do I know what size system I need?
We run a Manual J load calculation based on your home's square footage, insulation, window area and orientation, and ceiling height. We do not size by simply matching the old unit -- the previous system was frequently oversized to begin with.
Is a higher SEER2 rating worth the extra cost?
In Florida, often yes, because the system runs most of the year. But the payback depends on your actual usage and the price gap between the units you are comparing. We will show you the math for your home instead of upselling by default.
Do you offer financing?
Yes, with approved credit, including options with no interest if paid within the promotional period. We go over the terms during the free estimate.
What happens to my old system?
We disconnect, remove, and recycle it, including recovering the refrigerant as required by EPA regulations. Haul-away is included in the installed price.
How long will a new AC last in Florida?
Twelve to fifteen years is realistic with annual maintenance. Coastal homes in Sarasota, Bradenton Beach, and Anna Maria see shorter condenser life because of salt air corrosion, which is why we recommend coil coatings and more frequent rinsing near the water.
